Happy Friday, folks! For some, Friday is just another day in the work week but for many, myself included, it marks the weekend and two consecutive days off. In honor of the occasion and the positive reception of my previous attempt, here is another haiku:
In comes the week end
blissful delightful Friday
eight more hours ’til five
I don’t have much on the agenda for this weekend, just the usual family time and writing when I can. My outline for my November NaNoWriMo entry is coming along nicely and I am also utilizing character profile sheets I found out on the internet. It’s really helping me expand my understanding of my own characters.
There are a lot of helpful resources for plot, scene, and character development, more so than when I started writing years ago. It’s really nice to have access to these tools, although it doesn’t make or break me as a writer. That’s all about drive, which I have in spades. Patience… Not so much.
Although, if I had to hand write all my stories with a quill and bottle of ink on parchment, I might rethink this whole writing thing. I can’t imagine the hand cramps I’d get!
