So, I am already planning for the NaNoWriMo in November. Even though I will have an eight month old baby, I’m going to try! I was originally going to pass this year but I’m so used to participating that it would feel wrong not to try. We’ll see how well I do in a few months.
I’m going to be writing a story idea that I got from a dream I had about a woman who falls in love with the super villain on accident. I’m not going to into to much depth right now, it’s only the beginning of September, I’ve got some time. There will of course be a few plot twists and nothing will be as it seems.
If you’ve been with me a while, you know that I’m a pantser. What’s that? I write by the seat of my pants. 😉 But this year, since I know I’ll have distractions, what with my little ones, I’m working on an outline. *gasp* It’s only 74 degrees in Hell today. 😉 Yes, an outline. The mere act of writing down my events had actually helped me add depth to my characters. Can’t all be that bad then huh?
I’m hoping with an outline, it will help me keep on task and give me a better chance at completing the competition. I like winning the NaNoWriMo. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. I’ll be getting most of my words in on the weekend and I’ll need a clear vision as to where I need to go.
I’ve also been doing ‘research’ and watching super hero movies a lot. My favorite so far is Mega Mind but I’ve watched the new and shiny and the old and campy. No cape will go unfurled, no mask unsecured. 😉 All for the love of writing.
Hey there! I know this is sort of off-topic however I had to ask.
Does managing a well-established blog like yours require a lot of work?
I’m brand new to operating a blog but I do write
in my journal everyday. I’d like to start a blog so I can share my experience and thoughts
online. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or tips for new
aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!
All I can suggest is to be yourself and tag your posts. Be aware that not everyone will share your point of view and that’s fine. Cater to the people who relate to you as you are, don’t change yourself to gain readers.
