I have finally crossed that threshold in my writing path and submitted my first novel to a publisher. The envelope is stuffed with “Stealing the Wolf Prince” and mailed! EEK! Now the worst part of it all, I have to wait. In the mean time, I think that I will seek out other publishers and set up subsequent submissions. Although I’m a chronic optimist, I’m also a realist and know the likelihood of my first submission being accepted isn’t favorable. Either way, go me!
I can no longer say that writing is a hobby. Not with a novel complete and out in the publishing meat grinder. Ya’ll know that I’ll keep you up to speed on everything as I experience this journey. I’m an open book, no pun intended. Well, maybe just a little pun.
I go back to my desk job next Tuesday. I’m happy that I was able to get so much accomplished on my leave. Assuming I have any free time once I’m back at work, I think that I will start to edit the sequel, “Thieving the Bandit Lord”. That should keep me occupied while I wait. I don’t want to lose momentum or be the one to get in my way.
