Only Hours Left in the Giveaway!

ClockThere are only a few hours remaining in my giveaway!

If you’ve stuck with me this week, you’ll know that I’m celebrating my first book contract with a Rafflecopter giveaway.  You have until midnight tonight to enter to win an eBook copy of my steampunk romance short, a hand stamped corner bookmark, and a hand crocheted coffee cozy.  Each prize was created by me, author extraordinaire.  😉

I hope you’ve enjoyed the week.  I have a ton of editing ahead of me but it will all be worth it.  I look forward to seeing my cover, seeing my book up on Amazon, and possibly even a print addition.  Time will tell.

Thanks for your interest.  I wouldn’t be a success without you.  ♥

My Novel’s Journey So Far

A Novel JourneyNov. 1 – 30, 2006 – I wrote the rough draft of Stealing the Wolf Prince during NaNoWriMo.  It was my third attempt at the competition and inspired by a dream.

Aug. 2012 thru May 2013 – I had an epiphany and decided to start editing.  I was about to go through another read through and edit more when a friend told me to stop picking at it and get it out there.

May 2013 thru Mar 2014 – My novel made the rounds to different publishing houses that sounded like a good fit for my fantasy romance novel.  I collected some nice thanks-but letters.

March 2014 and onward – So now I am an Etopia Press author.  Although I am at the very beginning of this experience, I feel I’ve also come a long way.  I’m hoping the road ahead is clear with very few obstacles.  I’ll keep you all up to date as I can.

In the meantime, help me celebrate this milestone by participating in my Rafflecopter giveaway.  Thursday is the last day to enter!

Enter to win Unrequited

UnrequitedEnter to win an ebook copy of Unrequited.

I’ve got it in ePub, MOBI, and PDF now.  Unrequited is my steampunk romantic short.  I’m working on a companion story as well, called Requited.  Then I may write a steampunk novel.  Of course, that’s after Stealing the Wolf Prince is released.

Enter the Rafflecopter giveaway for your chance to win!

Like this Bookmark Corner? Win it!

Bookmark CornerAnother item in my giveaway is a bookmark corner.  This hand crafted bookmark tucks over the corner of your favorite book, keeping your place while making you look super cool.  This bookmark corner sports some Charles Dickens and continues my coffee/tea theme.  And pink.  It’s pink.

If you’d like a chance to win this cute hand made bookmark corner, enter my Rafflecopter giveaway.  US residents only.

Also, in other news, sounds like I’ll be getting my edits soon.  So I’ll be whipping my novel into shape over the next few weeks.  I hope to knock them out quickly so you can read my literary awesome sooner rather than later.  😉

Enter to win a Coffee Cozy

One of the prizes in my Rafflecopter giveaway is a hand-crocheted coffee cozy.  Since I realize that may be vague, I thought I’d share a picture.  This hot pink crocheted coffee cozy with purple accent button could be yours, if you enter my Rafflecopter giveaway.  Must be within the USA though and you don’t get the green cup.  Just the cozy.  😉

Why am I giving away a coffee cozy?  Several reasons, the first of which being that I have to write with coffee or tea.  When I sit down to make the magic happen, I have a latte by my side.  Another reason for offering a coffee cozy, I’ve never seen it done before.  I can crochet, I enjoy it, so I thought I’d share.  Creatives are often creative in more than one medium.

So help me celebrate my book deal and sign up for my giveaway.

The Pitch for Stealing the Wolf Prince

typewriterThe Pitch for Stealing the Wolf Prince

The path to publication hasn’t been linear and involved some creativity.  Just before Christmas, I participated in Pitchmas on twitter.  This is the tweeted pitch that caught the attention of Etopia Press.

An unwilling pawn in a plot to steal a crown, Kiera finds a dark family secret, usurpers to the throne, and a forbidden romance.

Who’d have thought that one well crafted sentence could be a game changer?

Only 5 days left to enter for a chance to win one of three fabulous prizes.  Follow the link!

Stealing The Wolf Prince Is Being Published, Let’s Celebrate With A Give Away!

Stealing The Wolf Prince Is Being Published, Let’s Celebrate With A Give Away!

I’ve signed a publishing agreement with Etopia Press!  Stealing the Wolf Prince will be available in ebook in under one year.  I’m super excited to start the editing process and get this project published.

Stealing the Wolf Prince was originally written in 2006 as my first NaNoWriMo win.  Last year, I decided it had collected enough dust and I edit the manuscript and started sending it out.

Every step of this journey has been a tremendous learning experience and I know I am not done yet.  I’ll keep you all aware of my progress.  Lots of fun things coming in the next year.

To celebrate, I decided to do another giveaway!  Follow the link to a Rafflecopter giveaway for a chance to win an ebook copy of Unrequited, a corner bookmark, or a crocheted coffee cozy.  All hand crafted by me in some fashion.

PitchMAS & Other Shenanigans

There aren’t any shenanigans actually, I just like to use that word.

So, PitchMAS.  I learned about it the other day via twitter and looked into it and it seems fairly neat.  So I’m going to try to participate.  Here is my pitch for Stealing the Wolf Prince, a romantic fantasy novel:

An unwilling pawn in a plot to steal a crown, Kiera finds a dark family secret, usurpers to the throne, and a forbidden romance.

If you follow me on twitter, you will see a lot of that.

In other news, my online class is going well.  I seemed to have no problems with the first two chapters.  Ten more to go.  No change in the other items on my to do list.  The holidays are fast approaching and I don’t see myself getting to them any time soon.  Just means I already have my to do list for January!
