Stealing the Wolf Prince: Editing Mode Activate!
So I heard from my editor and we are going to do some more content edits on Stealing the Wolf Prince. I really like what we have done so far so I look forward to seeing how we can make it even better.
I think I will have the weekend free before I receive my edits so I have a lot planned. I want to work on a site overhaul. New graphics, new layout, more sparkles and fun.
I’m not going to post my book reviews here since this blog is for my own books but I’ll still write them and post to Star-Crossed Romance. They promote sci-fi and fantasy romance.
I also have some plans for free stuff for you! Warning: not all of it is writing. I have other talents and you’ll get to learn all about then in the future! They will relate to my series in a fashion but be open minded.
I hope to get some precursory edits done on Requited and I hope to release that in ebook next month. I have a couple beta readers going over it now. After Requited is done, I’ll slowly start to work on the next novel in the series between Stealing the Wolf Prince activities.
Stealing the Wolf Prince is closer to publication!
Content edits are completed on Stealing the Wolf Prince! My time with my awesome content editor is over and now I am back to waiting. Hopefully a copy editor will be emailing me soon so I can start that adventure.
I learned a lot about the editing process so far and I plan on applying what I’ve learned to book two. Deceiving the Bandit Lord is printed out and I’m ready with my notebook and colored pens! It shouldn’t take me long to get it cleaned up now that I am more familiar with the process.
Also, with this weekend being a holiday weekend, I plan on working on another short story. A companion story called Requited. Find out what Axel thought through the adventure of rescuing Kali. It’s been fun to write so it should be super fun to read.
The Pitch for Stealing the Wolf Prince
The path to publication hasn’t been linear and involved some creativity. Just before Christmas, I participated in Pitchmas on twitter. This is the tweeted pitch that caught the attention of Etopia Press.
An unwilling pawn in a plot to steal a crown, Kiera finds a dark family secret, usurpers to the throne, and a forbidden romance.
Who’d have thought that one well crafted sentence could be a game changer?

Stealing The Wolf Prince Is Being Published, Let’s Celebrate With A Give Away!
I’ve signed a publishing agreement with Etopia Press! Stealing the Wolf Prince will be available in ebook in under one year. I’m super excited to start the editing process and get this project published.
Stealing the Wolf Prince was originally written in 2006 as my first NaNoWriMo win. Last year, I decided it had collected enough dust and I edit the manuscript and started sending it out.
Every step of this journey has been a tremendous learning experience and I know I am not done yet. I’ll keep you all aware of my progress. Lots of fun things coming in the next year.
To celebrate, I decided to do another giveaway! Follow the link to a Rafflecopter giveaway for a chance to win an ebook copy of Unrequited, a corner bookmark, or a crocheted coffee cozy. All hand crafted by me in some fashion.

Year end is always busy for me with family visits and the holidays. It’s a good sort of busy but it does make me wonder where all my free time went. I always have plans for my time off and find that nothing gets done.
I think that PitchMAS went well this year. My pitch was generally well received and I have a couple editors now looking at the first three chapters of my novel. I’m back to waiting.
I’m working on organizing my stories. I’ve been writing for a while and I have lots of ideas, outlines, and story starts. Some I have in hard copy in a ring binder in my office, some are scattered over the folders on my computer, and some are saved on a few peer review websites I don’t frequent much. So I am using Google Docs and getting all my work into one location. I’m going to talk to an IT friend of mine about doing a true back up. This has been a long time coming and I’m so glad I haven’t had a tragic file loss yet. *Knock on wood*
My WordPress class is coming along well! I was a little worried at the beginning that it wasn’t going to be anything new since I’ve used WordPress for years but I’m learning quite a few tricks and it’s filling in a lot of blanks. I’m good at figuring out tech but I don’t always catch the full functionality. I’m half way through and so glad I decided to take this course.
I probably wont blog again until after the 31st so I love that I get to say this: See you next year!
